What a magnificent show MGAGB put on for each of the 3 days of Chatsworth
this year.  Riders, ponies and the arena party (who were ALL in white shirts and
working their socks off - 14 games plus a presentation in 1 hour each day!) -
YOU WERE ALL FANTASTIC.
We gave a thoroughly professional display to huge audiences on all 3 days and you
were all a credit to the Association.  I was talking to the Duchess of Devonshire on
Sunday lunchtime and she said that she thinks we were amazing!
Needless to say, the organiser, Chrissy Lloyd Owen, has already booked us for
Chatsworth 2009!

I have received the following email, which goes to show how much the audiences
appreciated our displays:

Hello I would just like to say how fantastic the mounted games was at Chatsworth, we have seen your games at so many different events, over many years and every time we watch the talented riders and ponies having such fun and working so hard, it really does make my day complete.  My daughter is rooted to the spot and gets totally behind the teams and loves every minute of it, as do I.  At Chatsworth country fair on the saturday it was the same, Charlotte was amazed and excited at the horses and riders shouting for the teams, cheering, clapping and loving every minute, at the end of the games the most amazing thing happened, one of the riders came over and gave Charlotte their green 4th place rosette she was rooted to the spot with joy, then silently turned to me and the rest of the family eyes as wide as door stops "oh mum this is the best day ever, aren't I the luckiest girl in the whole world", then she just went mad jumping up an down on the spot.  I don't know if the rider knew how much happiness they had given to a horse mad 6 year old, on behalf of my daughter I just want to say thanks, it was so kind, my daughter was the happiest girl in the world.  I am just sorry to say that later that day I took Charlotte to the toilets but we had to wait a little while, even though my husband, brother, son and mother were still sat by the ring side watching the events in the ring, nobody noticed somebody else also fancied the look of the lovely green 4th place rosette and took it off her coat.  When we got back to our seats my daughters world fell apart.  We looked everywhere for this rosette, but it had gone.  Charlotte sat on my knee and sobbed for the rest of the day, she was heartbroken.  The rest of the day no longer mattered to her, she was so upset.  I know this may seem nothing to some but to my daughter it was terrible.  I know this is probably not the done thing and maybe totally wrong, but I just wondered if there was any chance of somehow getting a green 4th place rosette for Charlotte.  I just feel I have to try, I have never seen her so upset and broken hearted.  I hope I am not putting you in a terrible position, but as a mum, I just feel I have to try.  Thank you for reading this, I appreciate the fact you are probably very busy and I am being silly.  Thank you, yours most sincerely Helen Jodrell xx

Needless to say I am arranging for a replacement rosette and some MGAGB brochures etc to be sent to Charlotte.  WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!!!
